Robert K. Matoba, O.D.
Dr. Robert K. Matoba finished his undergraduate studies at University of Northern Colorado and earned his doctorate degree from Southern California College of Optometry in 1986.
His specialty practice interest is the treatment and management of Glaucoma and has gained extensive experience in the management of Glaucoma and Glaucoma associated Diabetic, Hypertensive management including SLT. Dr. Robert Matoba has taught and proctored optometric interns, and held the position of adjunct clinical professor. He is also a second-generation optometrist his father, the late Dr. Ben T. Matoba, O.D., established his practice in Denver in 1947 and practiced until 1987. |
Dr. Robert K. Matoba is a member of the American Optometric Association, Colorado Optometric Association, and Colorado Optometric Glaucoma Society.
E. Naomi Matoba, O.D.
Dr. Naomi (Yano) Matoba finished her undergraduate studies at University of California, Los Angeles, and earned her doctorate degree from the Southern California College of Optometry in 1986.
Her specialty practice interest is the removal of lid Lumps and bumps, cornea, tear film pathology, dry eye management, and specialty contact lenses, including those for keratoconus, high astigmatism, and presbyopia. She has gained extensive experience in management and treatment of corneal and anterior segment pathology, with amniotic membrane implantation/management , and has also held the position of Adjunct clinical professor. She treats and manages eye lid diseases, contact lens related corneal complications, and has additional interests in retinal imaging and corneal photography. |
Dr. Naomi Matoba is a member of the American Optometric Association, Colorado Optometric Association, AOA Contact Lens and Cornea Section, and Colorado Optometric Glaucoma Society.
joel K. Matoba, O.D.
Dr. Joel K. Matoba finished his undergraduate studies at the University of Northern Colorado and earned his doctorate degree from the Southern California College of Optometry in 2015. He is a third-generation optometrist following his parents and Grandfather. His specialty practice interest is retina and dry macular degeneration management, which he gained extensive experience managing while in training at the Veterans Administration eye clinic. He also does general eye care and Contact lens.
Dr. Joel is adept in vision therapy and helps patients of all ages to regain better control of their eye movements. He is also an InfantSee provider, assessing children from 6 to 12 months. While in training, Dr. Joel K. Matoba was a student member of the prestigious American Academy of Optometry, and a member of the Colorado Optometric Association and American Optometric Association. |
Kirk S. Matoba, O.D.
Dr. Kirk S. Matoba is a third generation Optometrist following his brother, parents, and grandfather. He finished his undergraduate studies at the University of Northern Colorado and earned his doctorate degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 2017.
His specialty practice interest is Neuro/ Head Trauma, Low/ Partially sighted Vision, and corneal injury rehabilitation with ammonitic membrane implantation. Dr. Kirk S. Matoba gained extensive knowledge and experience managing Traumatic brain injuries, low vision, and corneal rehabilitation patients while training at the Wills Eye Hospital and The William Feinbloom Rehabilitation Center at The Eye Institute of Philadelphia. |
Emily A. Matoba, O.D.
Dr. Emily A. Matoba, is joining the practice with her husband Dr. Kirk S. Matoba. She has finished her undergraduate studies at the University of Hartford in Hartford CT, completing a 3+4 accelerated program for Optometry. From there she applied for the Pennsylvania College of Optometry and has since graduated in 2018.
Dr. Emily A. Matoba has trained at Womack Army Medical Center in Fort Bragg North Carolina, aiding in the optometric care of active duty and veteran soldiers. She had then gained experience at The William Feinbloom Rehabilitation Center at The Eye Institute of Philadelphia. There she gained experience managing and providing the best vision possible to patients who are visually impaired. During that rotation she screened children at The Overbrook School of the Blind, where she saw patients from the age of 2 months to 25 years old. |
Her specialty practice interest is in Low/Partial Sighted Vision and Pediatrics. She is currently an InfantSee Provider.
